Ruth Powell, PE SE
President
Ruth has over 30 years of experience in structural engineering. While designing and supervising the design of thousands of projects during her career, she has engineered an extensive variety of structural systems and types of buildings. Ruth began structural engineering in 1995 in California, then founded Arches Engineering in Colorado in 2005. Moving to Southwest Florida in 2014, she worked as Director of Engineering for a large team of structural engineers. In 2023, she co-founded Moody Powell Structures in Fort Myers.
Josh Moody, PE
Vice President
Josh has over a decade of structural engineering experience. After earning his Masters degree in structural engineering from University at Buffalo, he moved to Fort Myers in 2015. Prior to co-founding MP Structures, Josh worked as a project manager and lead engineer on a variety of projects ranging from high-rise condominiums and apartments to schools and hospitals. Through his tenure, he's had the opportunity to work with just about every building system used in Southwest Florida and is a big proponent of working with Revit and BIM technology.
